About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team in Kirkland's vibrant Juanita neighborhood. This position is perfect for an independent contractor looking for a reliable, high-paying schedule distributed across a focused four-day block.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to provide effective pain management and promote overall wellness. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge in anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to join our existing insurance networks through our organization.
What the Clinic Will Provide:
We take care of the administrative overhead so you can focus entirely on patient care:
- Built-in Client Base: Immediate access to an established patient stream and waiting list.
- Full Scheduling Support: Front desk and online booking management.
- Complete Billing Services: We handle insurance claims and payment processing.
- Practice Management Software: Access to electronic SOAP notes, patient portal, and online systems.
- Linens & Equipment: Full laundry service and use of clinic equipment (including electric massage tables, table warmers, hydrocollator, etc.).
- Marketing: A professional website profile to highlight your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Provide high-quality massage therapy services, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Implement pain management techniques tailored to each client's specific conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress while adhering to medical terminology standards (electronic SOAP notes).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients before and after treatments.
- Educate clients on the benefits of various massage techniques and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and occupational health initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy practices.
Job Requirements
- Valid Washington State license in massage therapy (LMT).
- Active professional liability insurance.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience in providing patient service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work the designated weekly block (Tuesday/Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday), including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Must provide your own preferred oils and lotions.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is preferred.
- Previous experience in a med spa setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Language: English (Preferred).
